This is the kind of recipe that’s perfect for when you’re just desperate to get food on the table. (Either kitchen, dining room, or coffee table.) It makes the whole place smell amazing, you feel slightly virtuous because of the copious amount of ginger, and the green beans are the perfect “crisp tender” bite. (Because, green beans should always have some body, and never be limp and sad!)
However, you may want to cook your green beans a titch more than I do. Because, Jedd and I really like them for all intents and purposes just short of raw when they hit the plate. Because, you know, green beans are so freaking delicious. But, then again, we also like martinis with the bottle of vermouth just sort of waved over the drink. So, we may not be in the majority of opinions here.
